It’s my birthday and I’m reminiscing, all the way back to my 18th birthday where this whole photography thing started!

So many people say they have always loved photography or that they have always had a camera in their hands…it was a bit different for me. My parents ask me every year (because they are the best parents in the world) what I want for my birthday. Typically I would answer with something like gift cards or a mani-pedi, but something was different this time. I answered “I want a fancy camera”. It just came out of my brain. DSLR, aperture, ISO, white balance and exposure meant nothing to me. But there I was, asking for something that would soon enchant me. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted it. I wanted the chance to hold something in my hands that would let me show people how I see the world.

5 years later I am so happy to be doing what I love. I owe a lot of it to my parents who have always supported my crazy dreams. So I say to you today, follow your dreams no matter how silly they may seem.

What is a mini?

Mini sessions are the latest trend in portrait photography, and I think they are here to stay! A full portrait session involves outfit changes, multiple poses, various locations and tons of pictures to choose from. A mini session takes half the time and allows you to get a few great shots of your loved ones! Now don’t mistake a mini session for a lesser quality of work. You’ll still receive great pictures that we know you’ll love! Below you’ll find an example of a complete Easter mini session. We are offering  these mini sessions on  March 22 or April 5. Email or call (469)249-2342 to reserve your slot today!

Is there anything sweeter than holding your newborn? From the sweet aroma to the tiny dimples on their hands, every inch of them is adorable. Day after day they grow and change, and before you know it you’re celebrating their first birthday. Any parent will tell you “Cherish this time. It goes by so fast!” The memory of what was once your defenseless baby is replaced by all of the funny things they say and do.

Amanda and Jathaniel Petitt knew they wanted to hold on to the perfect picture that was their son, Silas Anthony. When asked to look back at Silas’ newborn photo shoot, Amanda  was shocked by how tiny he actually was. “It’s great to see all of his features that make him who he is!”

When the day comes that Silas walks across the stage for graduation, goes off to college, or even awaits his bride at the end of the aisle, his mom and dad can look back and reminisce on the time they had caring and nurturing their beautiful baby boy.

To all the mommies out there, give your babies a big hug and a kiss today. They will never be as little as they are today.

Hello, World!

It’s official, my dream has turned into a reality!

I am truly blessed to have opened my own photography business. I want to thank my wonderful husband for his support throughout this process. He has done everything he can to get me on my way. I have to say that my success is largely owed to him.

Photography has been a passion of mine for the past five years. I fell in love with being able to capture so much emotion and hold on to it forever. I love what I do, and I can’t wait to share these moments with you. Make sure you come back often to check out my latest work! Thank you for stopping by!
